Dr. Matthew Hubis

Dr. Matthew Hubis attended the College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina, both in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. He is a current member of the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle, Washington where he continues his quest for knowledge to solve complex dental problems for his patients. For all of his years as a General Dentist since 2007, Dr. Hubis has prided himself on far exceeding the continuing education requirements for licensure. His studies have taken him to many parts of the United States and a few foreign countries.

Dr. Hubis is also currently a mentor with CEREC doctors teaching dentists how to utilize and implement CEREC technology, allowing them to provide top-quality, same-day restorations. In his own practice, he offers same-day treatment for just about all restorative procedures.

Have you or someone you love ever considered dental implants? Dr. Hubis is currently a fellow in the International College of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), which means he has spent considerable time learning how to plan, place and restore dental implants for his patients. Dr. Hubis also maintains memberships in the American Dental Association (ADA), South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA) and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).

Outside the Dental Office

Outside of the office, Dr. Hubis is an avid golfer. He enjoys traveling with his wife, Dr. Emily Hubis, daughter, Audrey, and son, James. Kiawah Island, South Carolina, Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina and Fish Creek, Wisconsin are a few of the places the Hubis family visits annually.

Volunteering as a Den Leader for James’ Cub Scout Den in Pack 108 has become a favorite way to spend time with his son. Dr. Hubis earned his Eagle Scout rank and Order of the Arrow as a Boy Scout in Troop 477 in Florence, South Carolina.

Dr. Emily Hubis grew up in Rock Hill, where she attended Northwestern High School. She then went on to receive her B.S. degree from the University of South Carolina in 2003 and her D.M.D degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007. She has been practicing dentistry for over 12 years in South Carolina and North Carolina, and now, she is happy to be coming “home” and setting up a practice in Rock Hill.

The location of River District Smiles Dentistry is significant to her because her father worked at the Celanese Celriver Plant that once occupied the area now known as the Riverwalk.Dr. Hubis is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the South Charlotte Study Club, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She likes to apply the “southern hospitality” she was raised with to dentistry, and she enjoys interacting with patients and providing quality dental care in a friendly, compassionate, and relaxed environment.

Dr. Hubis resides in Fort Mill, South Carolina with her husband, Dr. Matthew Hubis, their two children, and their 12-year-old French Bulldog and Labradoodle puppy.
