Taking the denture out when sleeping is highly recommended. After a long day of wearing a prosthesis, allowing the gums to breathe and relax is critical. If the denture is a “snap-in,” if the patient grinds their teeth at night, there is extra strain on the implant, which might cause problems.
In short, it is best to remove the denture at night, especially if you’re wearing removable dentures. Remember, snap-in dentures aren’t your regular dentures. Talk to your dentist or oral surgeon if you have any questions or concerns about wearing your denture.
